YOUR POST-PRODUCTION PROFESSIONALS

If you need it done, we can do it!

Most families have at least one old reel lying around. The memories on these film reels are priceless, and at this very moment they're deteriorating.

Film has a finite shelf-life. The material used to produce the images is little more than a gelatin base, which deteriorates severely over time. Additionally, the filmstock itself is prone to becoming brittle and breaking. Sometimes older reels of film are in such bad shape that even if you had a projector, you could maybe play them once or twice before they broke.

Instead of risking losing these memories, bring them to us. At On a Roll Video, we can transfer your 8mm, super8, or 16mm filmstock to DVD, at very reasonable prices. Below is a pricing chart for the first step of the transfer process, converting the film to a digital format. This is a one-time fee per reel. In otherwords, if you order 1 DVD or 100, you only pay this fee once.

Reel Size Transfer to digital: 8mm (per reel) Transfer to digital: Super8 (per reel) Transfer to digital: 16mm (per reel)
3" (50') $5 $5 $7
5" (200') $20 $20 $28
7" (400') $39 $39 $50
Per Foot* $0.15/ft $0.15/ft $0.19/ft

*Cost per foot only applies for film reels of unusual diamaters, or film that is badly degraded and needs conditioning prior to transfer.

After transferring your footage to a digital format, up to 90 minutes worth will be placed on each DVD. For reference, 1000' of 8mm or Super8 film is about an hour, and 1000' of 16mm film is about 27 minutes.

DVD's include custom DVD and case art taken from the films, as well as custom menus. When ordering copies of your DVDs, pricing is based on quantity of DVD's ordered:

1 DVD $35
2-4 DVD's $20 each
5-9 DVD's $17 each
10-19 DVD's $16 each
20+ DVD's $15 each
